Frequently asked questions

The key things about the platform in a few sentences.

What is AI Board Games?

AI Board Games is a browser-based online board game platform. You play against AI opponents, each with its own personality and playing style, or in multiplayer mode with friends - with chat, and optionally video and voice. Everything runs entirely in your browser, with no installation, in both Polish and English.

Which games are available?

Right now you can play "Railway Through Poland" - a strategy game about building railway connections across three maps of Europe (Poland, V4 and Latin Europe). More titles are in the works; you can follow what we are building and submit your own ideas on the roadmap.

Do I play against AI or with friends?

Both. In single-player mode you compete against one, two or three AI opponents without inviting anyone. In multiplayer mode up to four people join a single game, and you can fill any empty seats at the table with AI opponents.

Is the platform free and do I need to install anything?

Currently you play for free. After signing in via magic link (no password) you get an allowance of free games and can connect your own OpenAI or Ollama Cloud API key. Free games and bring-your-own-key are available until paid pricing launches. There is nothing to install - it all runs in the browser.

Which languages does the platform support?

The platform and games are fully available in Polish and English. You can switch languages at any time, and the page URL carries a language prefix (/pl or /en).
